MUSIC IS A LIFELONG GIFT
A Meaningful Investment in Your Child’s Future
Piano lessons are about more than learning an instrument. They help children grow into confident, curious, and capable adults. My lessons are designed to nurture both musical and personal growth—whether they’re beginners or already discovering their own artistic spark.
BENEFITS TO LEARNING AN INSTRUMENT
Why You Should Play Piano
Builds Strong Minds
Piano strengthens focus, memory, and problem-solving skills in a way few activities can. Learning to read music and think several steps ahead supports academic success, especially in math and reading.
Connect With Others
Music profoundly connects you to others and opens doors to rewarding relationships. Performing—even in small settings—boosts self-esteem and gives children the confidence to put themselves out there.
Learn Essential Life Skills
Learning piano builds a strong foundation for lifelong learning. Consistent practice teaches responsibility, self-discipline, and time-management—skills that stay with children long after the lesson ends.
Encourages Creativity
Every lesson provides space for creativity. Piano isn’t just about reading music—many kids experiment, improvise, and discover their own voice through self-expression.
Develop Emotional Resilience
Piano gives children a healthy outlet to express feelings and develop patience. Learning to work through challenging pieces also builds resilience and confidence in both music and everyday life.
Strengthen Motor & Listening Skills
Playing piano improves hand-eye coordination, finger dexterity, and fine motor control. At the same time, students develop sharp listening skills and a deeper appreciation for sound, detail, and nuance.
WHY ETHAN PIANO STUDIO
Kids Lessons Include
Educational Piano Games
Learning piano takes focus and dedication—but it doesn’t have to feel like hard work. Using an extensive library of educational games, I make lessons interactive and fun. These games help kids quickly build essential skills and stay motivated.
Custom Sheet Music
I create custom sheet music for any song your child wants to learn—even when no sheet music exists. Each arrangement is tailored to their skill level, so they can play music they genuinely love while continuing to grow.
Comprehensive Curriculum
My diverse musical background allows me to give students a well-rounded foundation. Whether your child dreams of playing classical sonatas, jazz tunes, pop mashups, or their favorite songs from movies or games, I can guide them with clarity and depth.
Recitals and Events
I host recitals and special events throughout the year, giving students the chance to perform and build confidence in a supportive setting. It turns learning piano into something bigger than weekly lessons: a place where your child feels connected.
Supportive Teaching Style
I teach with a patient, encouraging approach that helps every student feel confident and capable at the piano. My goal is to make learning feel safe, positive, and motivating—so your child feels supported, understood, and excited to grow as a musician.
Student-Centric Approach
Lessons are shaped around your child’s unique interests and learning style. By meeting students where they are and building on what they love, I help them develop strong skills while encouraging their passion for music.

Detailed Practice Guides
I make practicing at home straightforward by providing clear, easy-to-follow practice guides. These step-by-step instructions show exactly what to practice and how to practice it, helping students build good habits and make the most of their time.
Audition Prep
If your child is interested in preparing for an audition (e.g., art school, band, etc.), my lessons guide them through every step of the process. From simulated mock auditions to structured practice plans, I'll make sure your child is ready to do their best.
Gamified Quizzes
Quizzes are a powerful way to reinforce learning and help students retain concepts. But they can sometimes be stressful or scary. Game-like quizzes are an enjoyable, low-pressure way to deepen understanding and apply knowledge.
Fun Progress Rewards
Celebrating progress is important, especially for kids. I use a system of small, meaningful rewards to recognize milestones and acknowledge hard work, helping students feel proud of their achievements and excited to keep moving forward.
Expertly Curated Playlists
Ever feel clueless in a conversation about music? I provide curated playlists, with over 100 era-defining songs, that introduce students to great music from the 1700s to present. Listening regularly builds cultural awareness and enriches musicianship.

I recommend students practice at least 30 minutes everyday. For students with busy schedules, practicing 1 hour twice a week is enough to make progress. However, the amount of practice needed also depends on individual skill level, aptitude, and motivation.
-
Lessons take place in your home. I travel to students within the Palm Beach County, FL area.
-
A weighted 88-key keyboard or digital piano is a good starting point. As a student gets more advanced, an upright or grand piano is recommended. If you’re struggling to find something that suits your needs, I can help recommend reputable piano brands.
-
Absolutely! There are different ways to learn piano aside from reading sheet music. Students can find success learning through lead sheets or even by ear. And if you’re interested in learning how to read sheet music, don’t worry! My lessons will make reading sheet music less confusing and intimidating.

Makeups come in three options:
In-person lessons. If you miss a lesson, feel free to schedule a makeup wherever there’s an available time slot.
Online lessons. If you’re unable to come in person, makeups can be conducted virtually through a video conferencing platform (e.g., FaceTime, Google Meet, etc.).
Recorded lessons. If an in-person or online makeup lesson isn’t possible, you can send a recorded video of your weekly progress and I’ll reply with video feedback and next steps.
“My daughter has been learning from Mr. Ethan for about a year now, and we have LOVED working with him! He is patient, kind, helpful, and our daughter has really enjoyed having him as a teacher! She has even been able to do a couple of duet recitals with him, and they have been so much fun to watch! Cannot recommend him enough!!!”
— Aubrey A.
“Mr. Ethan is the best! Not only did he help my 4yo daughter flourish on the piano, but he also was kind, warm, and so patient with such a young kiddo. He was always willing to partner with us, especially as we selected our daughter’s recital song. She had her heart set on playing Beyond from Moana 2 and he worked hard modifying the music (several times!) and helping her succeed! Thank you, Mr. Ethan!”
— Deepa M.
“An incredibly talented and patient teacher! Ethan makes learning piano fun and rewarding. His ability to connect with our sons (10 and 5 years old), inspire them, and guide with kindness has made a huge difference in their progress. Highly recommend!”
— Naveen K.
Lessons For Adults
Learning piano as an adult can be challenging. But it's not too late to explore a new hobby or check off a bucket list item. Adult lessons are adapted to your skill level, aptitude, and learning style so you can make progress at your own pace.
Explore Your Favorite Genres
I don’t force adult students into rigid systems. Instead, we start with the music you enjoy—your favorite songs or genres—and use that as the foundation for learning. By working with material that excites you, we naturally build strong fundamentals, technique, and musical understanding without any of the fluff.
Clear Goal Setting
Together, we’ll define clear, achievable goals within a realistic timeframe so you can see steady progress and build confidence at the piano. I'll help you break big musical ambitions into practical milestones, acting as an accountability partner who keeps you focused, supported, and moving consistently toward the results you want.
Judgment-Free Approach
Learning piano as an adult can feel intimidating, and it’s completely normal to worry about making mistakes or not progressing fast enough. In my studio, I cultivate a judgment-free environment. Plus, I’m always willing to adjust lessons or change course so you feel supported, confident, and comfortable as you grow at the piano.
Lessons For Emerging Artists
For high school- or collegiate-level musicians looking to take their skills to new heights, I'll help you refine technical skills, breakthrough plateaus, and discover your artistic voice. We'll focus on advanced concepts, critical thinking, and cover weaknesses so you'll grow into a well-rounded musician.
College Audition Prep
Thoroughly cover audition material to prepare students for success in any college music program.
Artistic Development
Focus on high level concepts and refine skills to break through plateaus and develop a unique artistic voice.
Encouraging Mentorship
Career coaching and mentorship to help students establish a career in music and nurture confidence.
